  1. A hake is any of various marine fishes of the 
  2. cod family, found in the North European, 
  3. African, and American waters. They have 
  4. silvery, elongated bodies and attain a length 
  5. of 1m (3ft). They have two dorsal fins and 
  6. one long anal fin.
